Corporate photography is a subset of the greater discipline of commercial photography. However, corporate photography in itself is a vast area, which demands a lot of different skills.
There are several aspects that distinguish other forms of commercial photography from corporate photography. For instance, in other forms of photography, the photographer gets the opportunity to re-shoot the photographs by asking for retakes or by making use of different angles, but in corporate photography there is no such freedom. Hence a seasoned and competent corporate photographer requires to be contacted for the purpose.
Corporate events are unpredictable and the photographer has to be prepared for the surprises. He must know how to analyse rationally and practically so that he can act promptly. Someone who is conscious and shows urgency besides having an overall sense of what is going on around him can work remarkably as a corporate photographer.
Taking headshots of corporate senior executives is an important constituent of corporate photography. The headshots are either used for archival records or are printed in business publications along with the relevant news feature. The photographer must therefore be particularly good at this.

A photo centering on a person or small group’s facial expression while they are in a still position is known as a portrait, or portraiture. The personality, moods and likeness of the person or persons emerge out. Aside from the face, portrait photography can also include the whole body & the background of the subject. When taking a portrait photograph the person or group is usually looking straight at the camera.
Non-professional models are used for portrait photography, unlike other styles of the art. Some examples of portrait photography are graduations, special events, and weddings & are usually displayed in private homes. Many are done on studio with several backgrounds to select from.
A Bit of History
People have been using portrait photography ever since the camera was invented. Having your portrait painted was expensive and not as available. People would sit against a background and were lit with natural light from a window. With technology’s innovations photographers have the ability to take pictures with less exposure time giving them more freedom to move around & create new styles of portrait photography.

Events like an important conference or a major client visit do not come often, and it is critical to capture such events in the form of photographs, which you can later use for both inside and outside company distribution. This is where corporate photographers play an important role.
Event photography is significantly different from regular photography or even pro photography in a studio setting, as the photographer can not exercise any control over the proceedings of the event. Covering an event requires a great deal of talent, and the photographer must be able to handle difficult scenarios. Most importantly, there are no retakes for an event photographer.
Quite obviously, you have to be aware of several aspects while choosing a corporate photographer to cover a corporate event. He must have a lot of precision and good knowledge of light settings for the camera, as most company events take place indoors. It is also critical to make sure that the photographer is equipped with a good camera and supporting accessories like flash.

The wedding couple are the two most important people on a wedding day. To get some excellent portraits, the photographer should seclude the wedding couple from the celebration for a while to capture the intimate moments after the ceremony. Not only will you get your pictures but this will give they wedding couple some time away from the celebration as well.
The portrait session will give the photographer enough time to spend with the wedding couple to capture the pictures. But this does not always happen since time is rarely a luxury anyone has; on the actual day. The time taken for pictures can well vary from an hour to no time at all. It can take up to an hour for the photographer to take the pictures.
The photographer will require some time with the bride and groom, but when is a good time?
Since the couple will still look fresh, most photographers believe that the window before the reception is suitable for the portraits.
Award winning photographer Bradley Hanson says that sometimes the bride and the groom would want to start the portrait session even before the ceremony. When the bride is getting ready is when he usually starts photographing.

You will find that there is much competition in the wedding photography industry. It is the intention of this article to provide relative novices to the photography business with advice on how to succeed.
(1) If you are going to photograph destination weddings, make sure you have a user-friendly online ordering system. People from out of town will not be able to visit your studio in person. Be prepared to process orders online. Think about letting another vendor handle purchases and sales.
(2) Work on developing relationships with different wedding vendors in order to gain referrals to your photo business. Bridal services, hotels, resorts, and caterers are all included in this category. Offer the vendors no cost portraits, prints, and advice when they need it. As an example for a resort location, offer to do a free set of shots for them. Be sure you stand out on their vendor referral list. Seek out new companies or business establishments that will be starting up in your area and ask about getting on their list of preferred vendors.

Getting your wedding ready can be overwhelming, and selecting the perfect wedding photographer is a huge part of the planning. Check out the work of several photographers before choosing one who seems a good fit with your style and vision of how you’d like your wedding represented.
1. Carefully Study Their Photos
The photography that is shot might well be the most crucial part of picking a wedding photographer. Examine their work closely and ask yourself if you really like the photos they have taken. What is your opinion of the construction, design, and the layout of the album? Is every photograph in focus and are the colors clear and bright?
2. Investigate The Studio
The bigger wedding photography studios will have multiple photographers, so verify which will be working at your wedding and review their past work. A smaller operator is the other choice. Typically you know who to expect on your wedding day, you are familiar with their work from their photos, and you get a better quality of service when you only work with a single person.
3. Planning your Photographic Requirements.
