You will find that there is much competition in the wedding photography industry. It is the intention of this article to provide relative novices to the photography business with advice on how to succeed.
(1) If you are going to photograph destination weddings, make sure you have a user-friendly online ordering system. People from out of town will not be able to visit your studio in person. Be prepared to process orders online. Think about letting another vendor handle purchases and sales.
(2) Work on developing relationships with different wedding vendors in order to gain referrals to your photo business. Bridal services, hotels, resorts, and caterers are all included in this category. Offer the vendors no cost portraits, prints, and advice when they need it. As an example for a resort location, offer to do a free set of shots for them. Be sure you stand out on their vendor referral list. Seek out new companies or business establishments that will be starting up in your area and ask about getting on their list of preferred vendors.

As we are currently mired in a recession, many people are struggling with debt, high bills and uncertain job security. As a result, even though many weddings are still being planned, they are being planned with small budgets in mind.
Recently it has become more and more common to have a stag-weekend instead of just a stag-night, or sometimes a stag-week. However given the recent clamp-down on spending, stag-weeks are being shortened to weekends, and stag-weekends have been shortened to nights. Stag events are receding in that respect.
Now, rather than weekends abroad, it is becoming more and more popular to have an activity weekend here in the UK. These activity days or weekends will cost far less than a trip abroad and in many cases, could end up being just as memorable, if not more so.
Of course, a big reason to stay in the UK for a stag or hen event is because many more people will feel inclined to come as it will be much easier on the pocket than a trip abroad would be. So rather than having a group of 6 or 7 away on a stag do abroad, you could have 15 or 20 or as many as you invite by staying in the UK.

When you find yourself planning a wedding or bridal shower, the whole aspect of favors for the party can often be confusing. Why do I need them anyways? Bridal shower favors are unnecessary in the opinion of some people since the guests are there to give gifts to the bride, not to receive. However, small wedding shower favors can be a thoughtful touch to help the shower guests enjoy the affair. Wedding shower favors are considered by some to be mandatory while others disagree. When the “rubber meets the road”, it’s a personal choice, though when you find yourself uncomfortable as to what is expected, choosing to at give at least some small token favors is the safe bet to avoid disappointing guests.
Bridal or wedding showers usually are arranged by the maid-of-honor and revolve around the bride with her good friends and family members meeting to give her gifts and celebrate her impending wedding. However, some couples choose to buck tradition and arrange wedding showers without the traditional gender roles. These wedding showers are a joint celebration for both bride & groom, which require a different strategy when it comes to planning the wedding shower favors and other details. Still, most showers are a female activity focused on the bride, with a theme to match.

Asia is a continent steeped in mystery, tradition, and great history. On this continent everything has deep meaning from the signs of the zodiac to the characters used in written language. If you are a bride looking to bring the mystery and wonder of the East to your wedding, here are several great ways to do so using Asian wedding favors. You may be a native of Asia simply looking to introduce the taste of home, along with your family’s culture, into your nuptials. Or, perhaps you are a bride from abroad who has come to love the culture. In either case, here are some useful tips and suggestions to make your special day unforgettable.
Use Chinese calligraphy as a motif. The Chinese writing system is one that functions on symbols and imagery rather than the phonetic system most nations use. A single character can have several meanings depending on whether it is used on its own or in conjunction with other characters. Use a character like tranquility on your gifts to convey a wish of peace to your guests or use the character for fortune and luck to wish them well in their endeavors. For the Asian bride you know what will work for you in terms of tradition, Take these considerations into account. It’s always adviseable to have a correct interpretation of any symbol you might use to ensure it’s proper use and you will also want to make sure your guests understand the meaning of any such symbolic uses. Be creative in how you achieve this.

Taking food photos is an artform. It takes a lot of experience to get it right. Non-the-less here are some simple tips to help.
Light
Light is obviously the tool of a photographer second to the camera itself. Getting this right is always the trick with any kind of photography. With food photography though it is super important. Get it wrong and no amount of photoshop work will bring the picture to life.
Use of props
The right props can bring a simple food dish alive. Some food types like fast food is dull and lifeless so choosing the right props of fresh fruit, vegetables, plates, candles etc will make the dull become magic. To be s good food photographer you must have a special eye and flair for design. if you have this skill naturally you will fly.
If you do a lot of food photography then shopping at second hand markets can be a great way to build your box of props. You can pick up expensive items like large pots and dishes and vases for a few dollars and a smile. If you do not do much then you may have to go shopping for what you need and bill the client!
